Help us celebrate Chinese New Year with the library, at the South Park Community Center.
This is the year of the Dragon.
All the children will have the opportunity to create and take home their very own Chinese character necklace and fabricate their own fierce dragon. They can have a taste of Chinese tradition with fortune cookies and cooking up some delicious easy noodles. There might even be some chopsticks for them to practice with. The fun doesn't end there...we will even have a Chinese N.Y. scratch off card. Be sure to collect your special red envelope with a surprise enclosed.
Finally, we will finish the celebration with Chinese party popper.
Don't forget to enclose your child's birth year
By participating in or attending any library event, program, or class, visitors may be photographed by library staff. The library reserves the right to use these photographs for publicity purposes in printed materials and online. If you or a family member prefer not to be photographed, please inform the library staff in charge before the event begins.
