Program Description

Body

Teens and Tweens are invited to the library to pick up a take-home cooking craft kit in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month!

Each kit includes a brief history of the holiday and its importance, along with all the ingredients and instructions you'll need to make your very own homemade tortillas.

Explore the rich food culture and traditions found across Hispanic and Latino communities, while learning about their incredible contributions to the United States. This hands-on activity invites you to honor these cultures by engaging with one of their most beloved culinary staples in many regions – tortillas!

Kits will be available for pickup starting September 2nd and can be collected throughout the month. Registration is required and will be open throughout September until all kits are reserved.

Please note that the South Park Library’s programs are designed with specific age limits in mind to align with the developmental skills and needs of each age group, ensuring an appropriate and engaging environment for all participants.

These take-home kits are exclusively for tweens and teens aged 10 to 18.
