Cinco de Mayo

May 7

Join us for a special Munch & Learn session on Cinco de Mayo with our very own Teen Librarian! As a proud Mexican American and historian, Maddie Canales will guide you through an insightful journey exploring the origins, significance, and modern-day celebrations of this vibrant holiday.

Discover the true history behind Cinco de Mayo and learn how the Battle of Puebla became a symbol of Mexican resilience and patriotism. We will also delve into the cultural traditions that make this day a joyous celebration in both Mexico and the United States. Together, we'll explore the evolution of Cinco de Mayo festivities and highlight the importance of cultural appreciation.
