“The Chamber of Secrets had been opened. Enemies of the heir, beware.”
― J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Calling all Harry Potter fans! Tweens and young teens ages 10–14 are invited to join us for our monthly Harry Potter Book Club. We’ll meet on the first Monday of every month to read one book from the series, discuss the events that unfold, and enjoy snacks, crafts, and activities inspired by the wizarding world.
For our February meeting, we’ll be reading Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and exploring the magic of wands with two activities: crafting classic wizard wands with hot glue and paint, as well as building a light-up “Lumos” wand through a hands-on STEM circuit project. Whether you prefer a classic wand or a glowing one, you’ll leave ready for spellcasting and dueling club adventures!
Participants are encouraged to read or listen to the book prior to the meeting, but if you don’t finish, you’re still welcome to attend. Come by the front desk to check out your copy of the book.
If you are interested in joining our book club, please register.
